After School Clubs

This Spring term has seen the start up of 3 different clubs which will run for a 6wk period on Thursdays from 15:05-16:00. This term the clubs that are available are arts and crafts (KS1 only), board games/engineering and hockey (KS2 only). The children are enjoying the clubs; in the hockey club children are having fun learning a new sport and getting competitive with each other (in a friendly way), in board games/engineering the children are enjoying learning new card games such as UNO and holding chess/ backgammon competitions and in arts and crafts, the KS1 children are enjoying creating lots of interesting art projects. Another brilliant term of after school clubs, keep up the good work everyone.
Last Autumn term saw the start up of 3 different clubs which ran for a 6wk period on Thursdays from 15:05-1600. The clubs that could be chosen were gardening, arts and crafts (KS2 only) and board games/engineering. The children had a fantastic time; in gardening club they were busy painting ceramic pots, planting seeds and cuttings, painting bird houses, frog houses and hedgehog hideouts. In arts and crafts they were busy making Halloween pumpkins and decorations and in board games/engineering, the children were very industrious building LEGO castles, inventing and building mechanical cars and holding their own Chess competitions. Fantastic effort by the volunteer staff and the children for making the clubs such a success. Well done everyone.
