School Governance Committee

The School Governance Committee (SGC) exists to enable the community and parent body to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the school in order to improve educational provision and outcomes for BFS Naples.

We have 3 main roles:

  1. To provide a strategic view: to help set, and keep under review, the broad framework within which the Headteacher and her staff run the school.
  2. To act as a critical friend: to provide the Headteacher and her staff with support, advice and information, drawing on SGC members’ knowledge and experience.
  3. To ensure accountability: whilst respecting the professional roles of the Headteacher and her staff.
